Strategic Planning & Roadmap Alignment Module

Module Overview

Symmetry Horizon is the “nerve center” of the Symmetry Visuals platform. Target use/audience is for executives, program leaders, and initiative owners. The Horizon module will help organizations to chart their direction, align initiatives, and drive execution against roadmaps. Focus is identifying and capturing long-term goals with actionable milestones. Horizon bridges the gap between vision and execution.

Key Capabilities
  • Strategy Framework Builder: Define multi-year strategies, key objectives, and strategic Initiatives.
  • Roadmap Visualization: Build interactive, multi-lane roadmaps with timelines, milestones, and dependencies.
  • Milestone Planning: Assign and track milestones by team, owner, or mapped to a strategic initiative.
  • KPIs: Define success metrics and Key Performance Indicators that will be tracked in the Insight module.
  • Initiative Linking: Connect the roadmaps to programs, stakeholders, and operational plans in other modules – Key roadmap items or initiatives elements that are defined would populate Playbook or Guard or Edge depending on the data.
  • Scenario Planning: Model alternative paths and impacts based on internal or external changes. (This is a long term type of function that may make use of Graph or AI to do strategy analysis of roadmap dependency what-ifs.
Relationship to Other Modules
  • Symmetry Insight: Horizon outputs KPIs and milestone progressions that are tracked within Insight via the dashboard – performance tracking, alerts, drill downs.
  • Symmetry Guard: Risk mitigation strategies and compliance gates or required actions that are tied to strategic milestones.
  • Symmetry Edge: Education and Training plans aligned to support specific phases or software functions that are part of the roadmap.
  • Symmetry Playbook: SOPs and reference materials relevant to specific strategic goals can be tied to roadmap items. This will include SOW template builder and maybe a Task Order type doc in addition to other process documents.
  • Symmetry Gauge: Supplier contributions and partnership milestones are tracked as part of roadmap progress. Show how the supplier(s) are supporting the roadmap.
